Best Dad in the World

Proof that Ryan is the best Dad in the whole wide world:

He lets Isla paint his finger nails neon pink:And he also takes very good care of the kiddos while I'm away on business. We are so lucky to have a Dad like him. And just because this is just too cute not to share:This just melts my heart every time I see it. We love you Ryan!

Easter 2011

My parents made the trip out to Boise for Easter this year. It has been four months (!) since they last saw us and to say they were anxious to get here is an understatement. They had so much fun hanging out with the kiddos and watching Isla enjoying searching for her Easter eggs on Sunday morning.

Drew's New Trick

So I have been traveling for work the past couple of weeks (did I tell you I have a new job? Well, I do and so far it's awesome!) and of course Drew decides to begin rolling over while I'm gone. I'm actually shocked that he can roll over due to his size. His doctor even said that it is probably unlikely that he would roll over because he is so big. I guess Drew had other plans:

Beat Coach Pete

In order to lose the remaining baby weight that I have, I decided that it would be a great idea to take up running again. Not sure why I though this was a great idea. Anyhow, in order to encourage my new form of exercise I thought it would be fun to find an easy 5K to participate in. As I was "looking" around Ryan's cousin asked us to be a part of her group for the "Beat Coach Pete" fundraiser for Boise State. We thought this would be a fun thing to do together so we signed up.

The day of the race turned out to be horrible - it was freezing and I think I saw a couple of snow flakes as we were making our way towards the starting line. Once we started running, the weather actually helped keep me cool. I thought that I wouldn't be able to keep up with Ryan during the race, but I actually caught up with him about a mile in and we ended up running the rest of the race together. Well, that is until the last 100 yards when he sprinted ahead of me because he just couldn't stand losing to his wife. Whatever. We did end up beating coach Pete though and I think I actually enjoyed it enough to keep on running.

Girls Weekend

Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining some great friends up in McCall for a ski weekend. I feel so blessed to have met such great friends here in Boise that I can have a fun weekend away with. We had the best time talking, laughing, eating, drinking and skiing! Of course I was having too much fun to take any pictures, but I managed to get this one:

A huge thank you to Molly for hosting us! For more pictures of the weekend click here.

6 Months!

This outfit Drew got as a gift when he was a newborn pretty much describes our little man to a T (thanks Bordners!). We had his six month appointment a couple weeks ago and he weighed in at 20lbs 13oz (9oth percentile) and is 27.5 inches long (75th percentile). He still weighs about two more pounds than Isla did at this age and is about one inch longer. He is thisclose to being able to sit up on his own and he absolutely loves to watch his sister as she can make him laugh harder than anyone.

We started him on solids right around the six month mark and he is now starting to eat them up like a champ (I know - big shocker!). He likes his carrots:
For the most part our little baby (okay, not so little) is:
