McCall 2014

The weekend after the 4th of July we headed up to McCall to stay with our friends, the Hamilton's, at their cabin on the lake.  It's times like this that make me really miss living on the lake when I grew up.  Why didn't I enjoy it more when I had it???

We finally got Mack to prove that he really is a lab:
Molly took Drew on a SUP ride to look for fish:
And of course we went out on the boat!  Drew insisted that he take his sword with him.  I think he was really hoping to see a pirate ship:
And to my utter shock and amazement, my kids went in the tube behind the boat.  This is a serious break through people!  My kids are very hesitant and shy so I was so proud of them when they jumped at the chance to go tubing.  And a huge thank you to Meredith Hamilton who was so sweet and went with them:
They even got me to go with them as well:
Saturday morning was a little cloudy so we decided to head up to Brundage.  My seat mates on the chair lift:
Kids exploring:
The beautiful view from the top:
The rest of the weekend we spent boating and swimming.  I was also proud of Isla who realized the benefit of a life jacket and would go off the end of the dock and swim to shore.  She did this about a million times:

By the end of the weekend my kids were pro tubers and decided to go by themselves:
After hearing and seeing all the pictures I think my Dad is read to book a cabin up here next summer so we can spend some time on the lake.  No complaints here!  Thank you Hamilton's for sharing your cabin with us, we had the best time!

4th of July - 2014

We headed back up to Sun Valley for the 4th of July this year.  I started the 4th with a hike up Proctor:

Then it was off to the parade:

Do not get between this girl and her candy, she means business:
We spent the rest of the day baking a pie:
And party hopping with Aunt Anna:
I can't believe this girl is going to be in kindergarten next month:
Mack made the trip too:
The rest of the weekend was spent in the pool with grandparents:

And this is pretty much how we all felt when we got home:
