Easter 2015

I was sort of behind with all the Easter activities and preparations, but luckily no one seemed to notice.  We dyed and decorated our Easter eggs about an hour before bedtime on Saturday night:

I have no pictures from Easter morning since the kids found all their eggs in about 5 minutes flat. The Easter Bunny needs to find better hiding spots next year.

Isla didn't sleep well the night before Easter (maybe it was the idea of a giant bunny hiding eggs all around your house at night?) and we really needed her to take a nap since we were having Easter dinner with friends.  I found that to get her to take a nap it still works if you give her a bath, swaddle her in a blanket and hold her in your arms:
Phew!  After the nap it was off to the Hamilton's for a yummy Easter dinner.  The Dads hid about 100 eggs at a near by school for the kids to find:

Thanks Hamilton's for having this crazy crew over for Easter!

Spring Break - 2015

For Isla's first spring break, we packed up the car and drove to Bellingham for a couple of days to visit Papa and GiGi.  This was the first loooooong road trip for the kids and they did pretty well.

On our way:
Drew managed to entertain himself for the most part:
Our first morning in Bellingham we went to the doughnut shop with the spaceship - Drew was very impressed.  So impressed he asked to go back every morning:

We lucked out with the weather.  Papa and GiGi are going to have a hard time giving up this view when they move to Boise:

The kids loved playing in the sand and looking for seashells.  Isla got really good at throwing rocks into the water:

Drew got really good at torturing poor worms:
Large marshmallows for the large smores:

One evening was spent with my cousins and their kids.  It was so nice as my kids were entertained by their cousins the entire evening.  Of course it helps when a train decides to stop right in front of the house:

I took the kids out to see the house that I grew up in - they were soooo not impressed.  It was good to see the old place though:

Drew really enjoyed the whole vacation thing:
Thank you Papa and GiGi for a fun time.  The kids still ask us when we are going back:

March 2015

March was a warm one this year.  We sadly (or maybe not) said goodbye to the snow skiing and anxiously awaited the warm weather.  Still waiting.

I had two girl's weekends during March (lucky me!).  First was a trip to Portland to visit my college girlfriends.  I was the only one who wasn't pregnant or breastfeeding so it was really wild and crazy. So thankful to have these beauties in my life:

Next girls weekend was up in McCall with my Idaho ladies. It was a great way to end the ski season for me.  Of course we had to go out and celebrate:

Molly even played DJ for us:
The skiing was perfect - as was the Apres-ski:

The rest of March was spent going to Isla's last basketball games and celebrating the season with her team and coach:

And dressing up as Spider Man to go for car rides:
