4th of July - 2015

We escaped the heat in Boise and celebrated the 4th of July in Sun Valley.  Leading up to this weekend I had been talking to Isla about hiking up Proctor Mountain with us.  It's quite a hike for a six year old, but she really wanted to try it. And I'm so glad she did.  We may have taken a couple more breaks than normal, but she made it!

So proud of her!  She deserved the piggy backs she got as we went down the mountain:
The rest of the weekend was filled with the parade and fireworks, and, sadly, these are the only two photos I have to show for it:

June 2015

And the summer begins which means little to no blog posting.  June went by in a flash, but I managed to get some pictures here and there.

I went to Savor Idaho for the first time and had such a great time that I was one of the last one's to leave:
Whoops - I'll be back next year!  Fun times.

We met up with friends for ice cream:
Drew got some new goggles that he insisted on wearing where ever we went:
And we escaped the heat in Boise and went up to Sun Valley and Redfish Lake to hang out with family.  Sadly Ryan and I got a stomach bug (which we so graciously shared with the rest of the family), but that didn't keep me from enjoying a day on the lake.  Drew was super excited about driving the boat:
Seriously, how can you not want to take in these views:
