July 2016

July began with a fun 4th of July part at Papa and GiGi's:
We attempted a three-legged race, but Mack got in the way.  I guess he didn't want to miss out on the fun:
Penelope got a lot of good use:

We had a great time with great friends:

The following weekend Isla and I headed up to Sun Valley for cousin Krista's wedding shower.  We got in a hike:
And had lots of fun at the shower:

While we were up in Sun Valley Drew and Ryan got in some fishing:

Next up was a quick getaway to Seattle for Ryan and I so we could catch a Mariner game:
And, just so you know, Santa is a fan of the Astros:
Last event of the month was a camping trip with Grandma and Papa Randy to Alturas.  The kids got some fishing in and I got some lake time:

It was awesome to watch Drew run around in his own little world:

Mack was spent by the end of the weekend:
As was I after our busy month!

June 2016

June 2016 marked the end of first grade for Isla:
Oh how she will miss Ms. Metzger.

The first weekend of June Ryan went on a raft trip:

And left me home with the kids and a dog who had to wear the cone of shame:
He was more work than the two kids.

Isla started her summer off with two Boise State camps, one for soccer and another for basketball.  I think the basketball camp paid off big time as she can now make baskets like it's no big deal:
Mid June we headed up to Stanley with some friends for a great weekend:
I have no idea where this girl gets her antics from:

These two boys cracked me up all weekend:

What's a weekend in Stanley without a little limbo?:
I like Lola's idea of limbo way better:
I'm trying to forget that my kids even went into this hot spring, they smelled so bad after wards:
One of my favorite places ever:
The last weekend in June I actually got to spend the weekend by myself at home for the first time in about seven years.  It was heaven and went by way too fast.  I hung out at my parents pool with this sexy beast (the kids have named her Penelope):
So I wasn't entirely alone.  The kids had a great time up in Sun Valley going to see the play Shrek with Grandma.  I got sent this picture while they were at the play.  I have no words . .
It was good to have the kids (and Ryan) back though:
