Maui 2016

Ryan and I have always said that once our kids reach the ages of 7 and 5 we will take them to Maui.  Can't remember exactly why these were the magic ages (I'm sure it had something to do with potty training and naps), but I'm so glad we stuck with that plan.

Getting ready to board the plane:
Poor Isla looks better than she felt in this picture.  She was under the weather for the first couple days we were there.  She didn't move from this couch:
While Isla focused on getting better we took Drew to the beach and pool.  I think he enjoyed the whole vacation thing:

Once Isla was feeling better we really started to relax:

We went on a whale watch and saw about 1900 whales - Drew was really impressed (actually he was, just typical Drew taking a picture):
These two melt my heart (well, most of the time):
While we were in Maui there was a huge swell and while it was nice for watching the surfers it wasn't so nice for the beach swimming so we spent a lot of time at the pool:

We did get in one nice beach day though:

We had a lot of BBQ's:

Of course we had to make it to Merriman's for the Mai Tai's:
Our last night we hung out at the point and watched the surfers:

The trip was officially a success and we can't wait to head back to Napili next year!

February 2016

With the beginning of February, Drew Drew started his ski lessons up at Bogus:
We got a visit from Hattie:

And Isla had her class picture.  She rarely wants to wear a dress so this was a big day:
And I was so happy that Isla decided to do her own valentine's day cards, with no help from me whatsoever.  Her lovely homemade cards:
Next up, the Maui post!

January 2016

Hello 2016.  Our January was fairly calm to begin with.  We celebrated Isla getting a citizenship award at school:
Then losing two teeth in one day:
We also celebrated my birthday with another fellow Capricorn:
Hanging out with good friends:
Watching the Seahawks lose with this guy:
The end of January was a little more crazy as I headed down to Cabo for a bachelorette party for this gal:
We had a crazy good time eating sushi:

Dancing the night away at the Nowhere bar:
And a late night pool swim on our way home:

Nbd.  The next day we relaxed on a yacht.  That's right on a yacht.  It was surreal:

The other highlight was brunch at Flora Farms.  A must if you ever go to Cabo:
