Well it has been two months since we have moved into the Plex and it is slowly becoming home, or as Drew and Isla like to call it "the New House". Surprisingly it hasn't been too bad moving from 2200 square feet to 1100. I think that may have to do with the fact that it is summer and we don't spend a lot of time indoors.
The kids were forced to share a room as the Plex only has two bedrooms. Poor Drew was kicked out of his crib and into a bunk bed with his sister. They have actually been doing really well together and every night after we read books Drew asks his sister if she will snuggle with him (major tug on the heart strings). About half the time they fall asleep together and the other half we usually have to interfere and move Isla up to her bed.
The Plex has a small fenced yard which is nice as I can let Drew play out there without having to supervise him 100% of the time. Most times I check in on him and this is what I find:
Sweeping and using the spray bottle with his Dad's shoes on. Such a silly little dude.
One of the great things about our new neighborhood is that it is very close to the Natatorium. We have spent hours at this place already and Isla and I have gone down the water slide close to 100 times. It's a great way to beat the 100 degree heat we have been having:
We are also close to an elementary school which is great for playing basketball and riding your bikes to:
We are really enjoying our time over on the East End and I'm so glad we got to experience living in another part of Boise before we decide where our next house will be.
